Encounters

My first short film, Encounters, which I wrote and directed while studying at the University of Cape Town, is an homage to The Breakfast Club and a result of seeing a stark social and political divide on campus. I pitched the idea to the film society and was fortunate to get the green light to begin my first production with a group of volunteer students. We had a great deal of fun filming this and learning on the fly. It first premiered at the Shotties film festival in Cape Town, where it won Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Editor.

Game Night

A short film I directed and helped to produce, but was unfortunately unable to see to fruition due to falling Ill with Covid a few days before the shoot.

Turing Test

I wrote, produced and directed the short, Turing Test, in Canada whilst studying at Vancouver Film School. This short arose from my curiosity about the ethical implications of Artificial Intelligence in a not-too-distant future. Upon release, the short won Best Picture at the Golden Nugget film festival and received a nomination at the Brooklyn Sci-Fi film festival.
